Minebea
was founded in 1951 as Japan's first manufacturer to specialize
in miniature ball bearings. Minebea is a comprehensive manufacturer
of small ball bearings, small motors, floppy disk drive (FDD)
subassemblies, personal computer (PC) keyboards and a host
of other precision components indispensible to information
and telecommunications equipment, household electrical appliances,
aerospace vehicles, automobiles and a wide range of other applications.
The Minebea Group comprises 43 subsidiaries and affiliates
in 14 countries employing approximately 48,000 people.
These
companies maintain 28 plants, where they manufacture products
which are distributed worldwide through 43 sales offices. The
Tokyo head office controls the operations of the entire Minebea
Group.
